Founding Principal Peter Opsahl brings more than 37 years of structural engineering and construction administration experience to Lund Opsahl, including multi-family and single-family residential, commercial mixed-use, medical, industrial, and seismic retrofit projects. His extensive involvement with construction engineering for general contractors has given him a unique perspective and a refined focus toward developing efficient, cost-effective, and constructible structure. Additionally, his considerable knowledge of sustainable materials, including autoclave-aerated concrete, has contributed to the design and construction of many sustainable structures throughout the Pacific Northwest. Peter strives to create a collaborative environment on all projects, prioritizing responsiveness and an open communication style that has cultivated many long-term clients and relationships. In the past, Peter has served as President of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington Seattle Chapter and President of the State Board. In the 11 years prior to becoming a principal at Lund Opsahl, he was the owner of PAO Structural Engineering
