Since 1924, Seattle’s iconic Fairmont Olympic Hotel has stood as an elegant example of grand spaces and fine craftsmanship. With this tenant improvement, the lobby, bar and event spaces throughout the building were updated to incorporate ADA access, including lifts between the many existing floor levels. The design team took great care to preserve the architectural character of the space, transforming it for use by all regardless of physical ability. Structural support for feature elements including the main bar, floor to ceiling glass walls, chandeliers, and guardrails were concealed leaving the architecture and finishes to impress while maintaining code compliance.
