On the long summer days in my hometown of St. Charles, Missouri, you could often find me with my nose in a book about archaeology, architecture, and physics, or out exploring old buildings, bridges, wooded areas, and caves. This youthful curiosity and passion to explore continues to motivate me today, but now I’m equipped with a bit more technical knowledge and engineering training than I had as a kid building LEGO towers in the living room. I studied civil/structural engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri (B.S. 2018, M.S. 2019) and began my career with Lund Opsahl in 2021 where I have been enriched by the daily collaboration and exchange of ideas, perspectives, and knowledge amongst the broadly skilled team. I am energized by the challenge of working on projects with unique constraints, getting to investigate existing structures, and applying basic principles creatively to develop efficient engineering solutions. As I grow as an engineer, I look forward to working on projects related to areas of particular interest to me including historic and existing structures, seismic resiliency, sustainable design, as well as gaining competency working with all the major structural materials.
Fun Fact:
I broke over 10 bones between the age of 8 and 15. Nowadays my hobbies include biking, cooking, playing games, web design, bouldering, and spending time with my wife and cat exploring the PNW (without breaking any bones).
