Located within walking distance of the downtown commercial core, the 1001 Bellevue buildings offer new facilities for Bellevue’s professional requirements. The finished 15 story office towers will accommodate workplace needs and wants, and will include balconies, indoor/outdoor spaces, bicycle storage, locker rooms, and close proximity to the entertainment and dining amenities of downtown. Lund Opsahl is providing construction engineering for the project, including tower crane analysis and foundations, temporary shoring walls, and loading reviews. Most notably, we designed a temporary extension of the lateral support system designed by the engineer of record that allowed the contractor to erect all of the steel for the 90 feet of below-grade parking before pouring the concrete, per their preference. Our engineering and assistance will continue to help erect this visually beautiful and vital new building in the Bellevue business center.
