Recently, our design team members had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking for the new Washington State Labor & Industries and Department of Agriculture Lab and Training Center. In development since 2019, the longer design phase allowed close coordination amongst the consultant team – Architect ZGF, Mechanical Engineer AEI, and Electrical Engineer Reyes. As a result, Lund Opsahl was able to maximize usable space by concealing structural elements within lab areas in creative ways, and facilitate distinctive architecture with exposed structural elements in common areas.
